About Sanibel Seashell

Sanibel Seashell, a unique family
run business, is located just off the south western coast of Florida on
beautiful Sanibel Island. Since 1988 our store has been run by the Strange and
Greenplate families. The shop was established in 1942, the first on Sanibel
Island. Not only can you browse our retail store, we also offer email, fax,
phone, and online secure shopping, ,making your shelling experience very
convenient.
In 1968, marine biologist, Larry Strange and his wife Carol opened a store in
New Jersey as a seasonal business where their hobby and love of collecting
seashells could grow. Being raised in an environment surrounded by seashells
and worldwide travel opportunities, their children also developed a passion for
shells.
Today, Larry and Carol, son Bill with wife Stephanie, and daughter Mary Beth
with husband Gary all travel around the globe looking for rare and exotic
finds. This allows us to develop a sincere and honest relationship with our
customers. We take pride in being able to ensure on a personal level the utmost
attention to every order. Our customers know that when dealing with us their
orders and requests are being personally handled by a member of our family who
has a direct interest in satisfying your needs. We are unique in our commitment
to your satisfaction.

non-endangered species
are sold in our stores. Most of the mollusks have been eaten and the shells are
just a by product left over . If
you are unsatisfied with your order in any way, please contact us.
How to
Order:
You can easily and securely order online by adding items to your shopping cart.
When finished click the View cart button in the upper right hand corner of your
screen and complete the shipping and payment information
Tracking Your Order:
You will be sent a confirmation to the email address you submit with your
order. If you do not receive this email please be sure to check any spam
folders where it might have gotten delayed in delivery to you.
Payment
Options:
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Personal Checks and
Money Orders.
Shipping
Information
Almost all orders are processed with in 24 hours of receipt Monday thru
Friday.
Shipping charges are based on weight however there is a minimum shipping charge
of $8.50 on all orders. Orders are sent via UPS ground service or
USPS Priority Mail. You will be sent an order verification through email
when your order is packed and shipped out.
For
Alaska, Hawaii, or International orders please email a list of the items
interested in for a shipping cost quote.
International Orders:
Sorry, we only ship to the Continental United States at this time.
Returns:
If you are unhappy with your order, please send back the intact items within 7
days and we will issue a refund for the returned items. Refund does not include
original or return shipping charges. For returned items, due to your choice,
there is a 15% restocking fee.
Breakage -
If any of your items are damaged in transit, save the original packing and
contact us immediately. We will have the damaged items picked up and have
replacements shipped to you.
Wholesale information:
We do not wholesale, however we have added quantity discounts as stated on our
website for items where applicable
Catalog
information:
Due to a constant change in inventory and availability we are unable to publish
a catalog. By the time one would be printed it would probably be
outdated
